Go Go Squib
May 27,
I am teaching Junie Haiku. Here is her first attempt:
Old Lemon Tree sighs
Whose butt is in the water?
Eelboy rocks the house!
Whole Trip
May 27,
Perhaps because of my help with Junie, Pepper will agree to speak to me again. Of course, I would have been happy to help no matter what. To be perfectly honest (can anyone truly be perfectly honest?), I don’t think I was of much help. I spent most of the time in India fending off Mick’s advances and attempting to barter poems for information. Perhaps now Pepper will now listen long enough for me to explain that it was all a horrible misunderstanding. Perhaps now she will tell me why she is so angry at Nina & Kiki.
Written Training
May 27,
It’s a long flight back from Mumbai to —. Sol has been sleeping the whole time and so it falls upon me to deal with Junie. She insists on pestering the flight attendants to give her a rum & coke. This is simply irritating. I know that her parents have allowed her to drink on special occasions and she has never liked it. After all of the trouble she’s put us through, you’d think she’d extend us the courtesy of behaving on the flight back. I had hoped to use this time to finish my epic poem ‘Salt Systems’, but I fear that I will only be able to focus in short bursts.
